David Lukáš is Professor at the Technical University of Liberec. His research is focused on theoretical investigation of nanofibre spinning technologies and medical application of nanofibrous materials. He was elected as the rector/director of the Technical University of Liberec (1997-2002) and was awarded by the Fulbright Scholarship (2010).

David holds a Master’s degree in biophysics and chemical physics from Charles University, Prague. He is a co-author of over 50 scientific journal articles and holds two WO patents on electrospinning technologies.

Mahmud has also published a number of articles on the ring spinning process with friction free twisting system in various journals and conferences.

He has more than 17 years’ experience in technical textiles, spanning from loom technician to now development engineer, with extensive background in material solutions for automotive and aerospace. He is the technical lead on numerous projects, including the Break-through Aerospace Materials (BAM) project with Rolls Royce and BAE Systems on the development of 3D woven simulation software.

Peter is also an expert 2D and 3D weave designer, with a current focus on carbon fibres.

Dr. Reinhold Schneider is Senior Scientist in Textile Chemistry & Printing Technologies at the German Institute for Textile and Fibre Research Denkendorf (DITF).

His work focuses on the field of printing, dyeing and finishing of textile materials. His main research is inkjet printing and digital functionalisation of surfaces. This includes the formulation of inks, pre-treatment for inkjet printing, and developing sensors for composite materials, colour detector for process control in dyeing and rinsing. These and other works are documented in more than 200 publications, technical papers, patents and research projects.

Reinhold has a PhD in chemistry.
