The Fira de Barcelona boasts the largest trade fair area in Spain and is one of the biggest in Europe. With its two venues, MontjuÏc and Gran Via, it offers 365,000 square metres of gross exhibition space.

The Gran Via venue, where ITMA 2011 will be held, is designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. It features state-of-the-art trade fair technology. It currently has a gross exhibition area of 200,000 square metres in the six pavilions. The venue will be enlarged to 240,000 square metres following the construction of two new pavilions.

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (Train)
The rail station "Europa/Fira" (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC)) is the closest one to the premises of Gran Vía. All the itineraries departing and arriving to "Plaça Espanya" stop in Europa/Fira":
